About Us
Deborah Walsh’s career of more than 30 years in the nonprofit sector includes program, management, and development positions with an emphasis in human services. In addition to being a committed volunteer for numerous nonprofits, she served as volunteer coordinator and social worker for a hospice agency, executive director for a senior center and in-home aide service, campaign manager for a federated fundraising organization, and organized a volunteer center. From 2000 to 2007, she was Logistics Manager for Prison Fellowship’s national Operation Starting Line program. In April 2008, Debbie accepted a position as National Director of Prison Ministry for Child Evangelism Fellowship, and in this role continues as a collaborator with Operation Starting Line. She also serves on the board of directors of the Coalition of Prison Evangelists (COPE), and on the advisory board for the Correctional Ministries and Chaplains Association (CMCA). Debbie also teaches "Organizational Management" at the Billy Graham Institute of Prison Ministries at Wheaton College.
Deborah received a Masters degree in Public Administration (MPA) with an emphasis in nonprofit management from High Point University. She also holds a bachelor’s of arts degree with a major in social work from Oral Roberts University. She completed the Duke University certificate program in nonprofit management in 2002 and holds the NC Auditor Effective Grants Administration Certificate. She is a graduate of Leadership Randolph 1997, Leadership High Point 2008, and is a 2007 graduate of Breakpoint's Centurions Program. |
Dennis Walsh has served the financial reporting and tax needs of individuals, businesses, and exempt organizations for more than 30 years. Since leaving public accounting practice, he has been a consultant to religious workers and exempt organizations, focusing on financial management, legal compliance, and organizational development. Dennis is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in accounting. He went on to a 17 year career in public accounting, holds CPA certificates in North Carolina and Wisconsin, and is a member of the North Carolina Association of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. He also completed the Duke University certificate program in nonprofit management, holds the NC Auditor Effective Grants Administration Certificate, and is a graduate of Leadership High Point 2008. He has written for the Planned Giving Design Center, Journal of Accountancy, and his articles have also appeared in Blue Avocado and various nonprofit resources. |
